Welcome !

Welcome to Pack 165's website.  This is where we keep our members up to date with all of our happenings.  We are always looking for members to join.

Our scouts have a lot of fun while camping, swimming, hiking, doing fundraisers and community service projects.  Scouting is a great way for your son to learn the value of citizenship, service, physical and mental fitness and leadership.  Join us today!

Camp Cards - keep selling!!

Posted on May 11 2013 - 4:21pm

Hopefully all our scouts are having fun selling their cards.  Remember, the more we sell, the more it will benefit the pack and the less costs we ALL will have for future events including camping, pack picnics, etc.  (Remember our recent pack picnic?? Our Popcorn sales helped to fund that event).

If you have not received your camp cards, please contact David Taylor to get them.

All camp card money needs to be turned in before May 31st!

We are still working on getting some storefront locations to sell the cards.  We will let you know as soon as that becomes available.

Tanah Keeta Scout Workday - Saturday May 18th

Posted on May 11 2013 - 4:17pm

Come all ye faithful!

You can make a difference! Come help make a better Tanah Keeta and have a great and exciting day of fun at the same time!  Young or old, no job is too small or too large if willing helping hands work together.

The day starts at 9 am when you meet with Ranger Steve and Ranger Harlan at the Maintenance Yard. If you let them know before hand, they may be able to find a project which will better utilize your talents.

As a “thank you” to the volunteers who donate a minimum of 40 hours of service to camp, a special Council Service Patch will be presented as a symbol of their hard work and dedication.

Spring Roundup/Pack Meeting - Monday May 20th

Posted on May 11 2013 - 4:16pm

We have sent out flyers to our Kindergarteners at Wellington Elementary and New Horizons Elementary for a Spring Roundup to recruit Tiger Cubs for the 2013-14 school year.

Help spread the word!  If you know any one that is interested in joining the Cub Scouts (does not have to be a Tiger, can be any grade!), don't let them wait until the next school year starts!  Invite them to join us at our May Pack Meeting (May 20th at WES cafeteria at 7:00 PM) to come see what we are all about.  This will give them an nice way to start their scouting adventure by joining us in our summertime activities.

We look forward to seeing lots of new faces in May!

Also, we will be doing our cross over ceremony at this Pack meeting so make sure you attend so your scout can enjoy the recognition of advancement to the next scouting level from all his hard work this year!

Volunteer Needs

Posted on Mar 23 2013 - 11:35pm

We STILL have several volunteer needs in our Pack.  The only way we can provide the best experience for our scouts is through YOUR help!

  • Assistant Cub Master
  • Assistant Den Leaders (Tigers, Bears, Webelos I)
  • Camping chair - help plan our camping trips including reserving the campground, obtaining permits, arranging meals, etc
  • Fundraising chair - help out with popcorn sales in fall, camp card sales in spring and any other fund raising needs in between

Please contact Christine Grant at pcgrant@bellsouth.net to sign up or for more information on any of these needs.
