Welcome to Pack 165!

Welcome to Pack 165's website.  This is where we keep our members up to date with all of our happenings.  We are always looking for members to join.  

Our scouts have a lot of fun while camping, swimming, hiking, doing fundraisers and community service projects.  Scouting is a great way for your son to learn the value of citizenship, service, physical and mental fitness and leadership.   Our scouts consist of boys from Wellington Elementary and New Horizons Elementary Schools and we welcome those from any other school as well.  Our meetings are held at Wellington Elementary School monthly.  Use the "Contact Us" link on the left hand side to find out more information about our pack and when our meetings are held.

We hope you all have been having an exciting summer filled with lots of trips and adventures.  The end of summer and start of the school year for our pack is going to be getting off to a running start!!

Events that are coming up for our pack - see calendar for more specifics on each event:

August 16th - End of the summer celebration - come join us at Greenacres Bowl for some fun while your scouts work on their Bowling belt loop!

August 27th - School Night for Scouting - our annual scout round up and our 1st pack meeting of the year.  Will be held in the Wellington Elementary Cafeteria at 7:00 PM

September 6th - Gulfstream Council Car Wash - annual fundraising event for the council, to be held in the parking lot of PA BBQ Grill.  

September 13th - Pack 165 "CLAW" at Loxahatchee Groves Park - We will have our own pack specific "CLAW" (Cub Scout Loop Advancement Workday - not to be confused with the District's CLAW to be held on the following weekend)

September 20th - Everglades District CLAW at South Florida Science Center and Aquarium

New volunteer needs

There continues to be several volunteer needs in our Pack.  

Volunteers needed include:

  • ***Assistant Cub Master
  • Assistant Den Leaders (Tigers, Bears)
  • Camping chair - help plan our camping trips including reserving the campground, obtaining permits, arranging meals, etc
  • Fundraising chair - help out with popcorn sales in fall, camp card sales in spring, car washes and any other fund raising needs in between
  • Blue & Gold dinner chair
  • Assistants at events (i.e. helpers at Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, camping - jobs include checking in/weighing pinewood cars, checking in boats, grilling at camping or picnic events these will be decided on an event by event basis)

Class B shirts for sale

We have all sizes available from kids Small to adult XL.

Cost is $10 each.
