Welcome to Pack 165!

Welcome to Pack 165's website.  This is where we keep our members up to date with all of our happenings.  We are always looking for members to join.  

Our scouts have a lot of fun while camping, swimming, hiking, doing fundraisers and community service projects.  Scouting is a great way for your son to learn the value of citizenship, service, physical and mental fitness and leadership.   Our scouts consist of boys from Wellington Elementary and New Horizons Elementary Schools and we welcome those from any other school as well.  Our meetings are held at Wellington Elementary School monthly.  Use the "Contact Us" link on the left hand side to find out more information about our pack and when our meetings are held.  


Wanted: New Leaders

By the next school year, all our key leaders (Committee Chair, Cubmaster, Treasurer and Charter Organization Rep) will be moving on to Boy Scouts.  Therefore, we are seeking people interested in these positions now so that we can train you throughout the year so once transition time comes, it will be seamless.

Popcorn Sales

We started selling on Sunday at Ace Hardware and we had a GREAT 1st day of sales!!  

Those who sell store front or through order forms will be eligible for prizes.  The types of prizes you get will be dependent on how much you sell - donations received at storefront sales also go into your overall sales.  AND...don't forget!  Those who sell the most in each den will get to throw pie in their den leaders face!!

Times are available for the next few weekends.  Please sign up for a time slot and let's beat our sales from last year!!  See attachment for open time slots.  I will update regularly as we get sign ups.

Okeeheelee Campout

We will have our first campout of the year from Friday night October 24-Sunday October 26th.  

We will be in the Wildcat area of Okeeheelee park.  Activities will include visiting the Nature Center, hiking.  Also, we will have our annual Raingutter Regatta there on Saturday October 25th.  (Your den leaders will get you your regatta kits within the next couple of weeks).  

If you can't make it for the whole weekend, come for the day on Saturday.  Please sign up through the calendar and indicate in the notes section if you will be there for just Saturday only.  

Registration Payments

All new and returning members must pay the annual membership fee.  You can pay the fee alone or pay the fee with a year's subscription to Boy's Life.  

We have added the convenience of paying online through PayPal.  Just click on the tab on the left that says "Online Payments" and select the payment you want to make.  Please contact us if you have any questions.  

Webelos Pin Day

October 4th, 2014 from 9AM-3PM
Earn 2 pins: 

(**Outdoorsman is a requirement for Arrow of Light award)

Lunch is included: hot dogs, chips and drink

New volunteer needs

There continues to be several volunteer needs in our Pack.  

Volunteers needed include:

  • ***Assistant Cub Master
  • Assistant Den Leaders (Tigers, Bears)
  • Camping chair - help plan our camping trips including reserving the campground, obtaining permits, arranging meals, etc
  • Fundraising chair - help out with popcorn sales in fall, camp card sales in spring, car washes and any other fund raising needs in between
  • Blue & Gold dinner chair
  • Assistants at events (i.e. helpers at Raingutter Regatta, Pinewood Derby, Blue & Gold, camping - jobs include checking in/weighing pinewood cars, checking in boats, grilling at camping or picnic events these will be decided on an event by event basis)
