Welcome to Pack 165!

Welcome to Pack 165's website.  This is where we keep our members up to date with all of our happenings.  We are always looking for members to join.

Our scouts have a lot of fun while camping, swimming, hiking, doing fundraisers and community service projects.  Scouting is a great way for your son to learn the value of citizenship, service, physical and mental fitness and leadership.   Our scouts consist of boys from Wellington and the surrounding communities.  Our meetings are held at Wellington Elementary School monthly.  Use the "Contact Us" link on the left hand side to find out more information about our pack and when our meetings are held.

Popcorn Sales Begin this weekend - sign up for selling times below

Posted on Oct 2 2015 - 7:40pm

If you have not received an order form (to sell at work, to family or in the neighborhood), let me know and I will get one out to you.

As was announced at Pack meeting, if we can get every scout to sell over $400 worth of popcorn, that will be able to fund the fees to camp overnight at Kennedy Space Center.  If each scout can sell at least $300, we can camp at Fort Wilderness!  Last year, each scout was able to average sales of anywhere from $40 to over $200 just in 1 day of selling in front of Ace Hardware, so these goals should not be too hard to accomplish!!

See below for the days and time slots available (there are still LOTS available!).  Once you find a time slot you want, let me (Christine), David or your den leader know, so that we can reserve that time for you.  We certainly encourage more than one scout per time slot too.  The very 1st weekend coincides with Fall Family Campout, so if you are not camping, definitely come out to sell!

Raingutter Regatta

Posted on Sep 27 2015 - 10:46pm

We will be having our annual Raingutter Regatta races on Saturday October 17th at 2:00 PM

Location will be at Loxahatchee Groves Park (just west of Palms West Hospital on Southern Blvd).

Everyone should have received their Raingutter Regatta Kits by now.  If not, please see your den leader or let me know.

See the attachment on what is a raingutter regatta for those who are new to scouting as well as the rules of the race for all scouts to review.

Pack 165 and Scoutbook Web log ins

Posted on Sep 27 2015 - 9:58pm

By now, everyone should have received an email from me personally giving you your username and password for the pack165.com website.  You also should have received an email from me through Scoutbook.com also with a username and password.

Pack165.com provides up to date news on pack happenings and allows you to register for certain events we have coming up.

Scoutbook.com is a program our leaders are using to enter all the achievements the scouts have worked on in each den meeting.  Each parent has access to their own scouts account to record activities that you perform at home for your den leader to approve.

If you have not received user name/password for either of these websites, please contact Christine Grant.

New Leaders/Committee Members Needed

Posted on May 17 2015 - 12:27pm

We are still seeking people to help out with the following positions: Cub Master, Committee Chair, Treasurer, Charter Organization Rep, Advancement Chair.

Click on attachment for a brief description of these positions.  You will also see other possible positions for the pack if you are interested in something else.

We know people are concerned about how much time it would take to perform the duties of these positions, it really does not take as much time as you may think and the more people that come forward to help, then the less time is needed to put forth!

Please contact David Taylor or Christine Grant if you are interested.
