Welcome to Pack 165's website.  This is where we keep our members up to date with all of our happenings.  We are always looking for members to join.  

Our scouts have a lot of fun while camping, swimming, hiking, doing fundraisers and community service projects.  Scouting is a great way for your son to learn the value of citizenship, service, physical and mental fitness and leadership.   Our scouts consist of boys from Wellington Elementary and New Horizons Elementary Schools and we welcome those from any other school as well.  Our meetings are held at Wellington Elementary School monthly.  Use the "Contact Us" link on the left hand side to find out more information about our pack and when our meetings are held.  


Everglades Spring Family Campout -Early bird deadline extended until 3/5/15

The theme is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

Cost is $30.00 if we register by March 5th.  Price includes campout, t-shirt and patch.  Siblings 5 and under are free (no patch or t-shirt).

Cost will go up to $35.00 if you register March 6th-March 14th.  From March 14th-March 19th, it will be considered late registration and cost will go up to $45.00 per person.  They will not take any registrations after March 20th.

  • BB shooting/ Archery/ Fishing
  • Rocket Building Station and Launch Party
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Map and Compass course to earn Belt Loop
  • Alien Message Decoding stations
  • Marshmallow Space Station Building competition
  • Whittling Chip for Bears and Webelos Scouts
  • Webelos Pins: Engineering and Scientist
  • On Site Adult Training

Urgent: New Leaders Needed!

By the next school year, all our key leaders (Committee Chair, Cubmaster, Treasurer and Charter Organization Rep) will be moving on to Boy Scouts.  Therefore, we are seeking people interested in these positions now so that we can begin training you now so that things will be a breeze once you take over.  

It is extremely important to have these positions filled as soon as possible.  If these positions are not filled, the pack cannot go on!

Camp Cards are here!!!

Our annual Camp Card fundraiser is back!  We have new cards this year, it is a foldable pack (no longer the plastic card) of coupons that costs $5.00 and includes coupons for:

Lion Country Safari, Panda Express, Roger Dean Stadium games, Friendly's, Big Apple Pizza, KFC, Tijuana Flats, Tire Kingdoom, Bass Pro Shops, Sports Authority and Famous Footwear.  

Some of you may have noticed one store not mentioned, there are no Publix coupons this year.  It should still be an easy sell, there is over $100 worth of coupons for just $5.00!  Our goal is to sell 300 cards.  Each scout will earn $1.00 for every card they sell. 

Your den leaders will be handing these out as soon as I can get these to them.  I will also have them availble at the next pack meeting.

Pinewood Derby

Other volunteer needs

In addition to leader positions needed above, there are other opportunities for volunteering and include:

  • Assistant Cub Master
  • Camping chair - help plan our camping trips including reserving the campground, obtaining permits, arranging meals, etc
  • Fundraising chair - help out with popcorn sales in fall, camp card sales in spring, car washes and any other fund raising needs in between
  • Blue & Gold dinner chair
